It also teaches us that in order to find happiness and meaning in our lives it is necessary to assess our present situation with honesty and with kindness to ourselves. This will show us the path to transform our current state of dissatisfaction so that we can find peace and true happiness.     Geshe Lobsang Dhondup is the Cultural Officer to the the Office of Tibet in South Africa. He completed a 7-year study of Buddhist Philosphy and Ethics and was awarded a Geshe Degree by the Academy Council of Drepung Monastery in India. He  has taught Tibetan Language, Dialectics and Philosophy, moderated training workshops on Compassion and Emotional Intelligence and participated in workshops on Environmental Awareness. He is a regular participant in annual science education classes conducted by Emory University, USA.

Reiki is the ancient Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation which promotes healing. It is administered by " laying on hands" and uses the " life force energy" that flows through us. The word 'reiki' comprises of 'rei' which means 'God's higher power' and 'ki' which is ' life force energy'. It is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and has great beneficial effects. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to promote recovery. This practice reduces stress, awakens deep relaxation, peace and self-awareness, improves sleep, eliminates depression, enhances your immune system, prompting contentedness and balance in your life. Reiki healing can be extended to all areas of your life, including your children and animals.

Currently, she channels her creative energy into painting in water colour and oil.
