We all have stories to tell but many of us don’t know where to start. When we meet we will stop, listen, connect (with ourselves), write. The focus will be on two interconnected, transformative practices: mindfulness (presence, “listening”) and memoir / writing / story. My workshop was scheduled to run over these four days. Instead, we will do four one-hour Zoom sessions. Each will start with a centering (presence) practice - followed by guided writing practice. The interaction will be between you and the surprises that appear on your pages. The sessions are designed to flow into and complement one another.
* For each session I request you bring your whole self, your curiosity and a lightness of being. Also a journal or notebook of choice and pen or pencil.
1. Being here. Bring (*the above) plus a willingness to jump in and engage with yourself. (June 8, 6pm - 7pm)
2. Relish and write. Bring (*the above) plus some culinary pleasures. We will practice mindful eating, drinking and writing. (June 9, 6pm - 7pm)
3. On giving good ear. Bring (*the above) - and your listening skills. (June 10, 6pm - 7pm)
4. My life under lockdown. Bring (*the above) as we play with the past and present in the now. (June 11, 6pm - 7pm).
