Open The Heart And Still The Mind: A path of courage and compassion
This 4-day Easter retreat is held in a contained and nurturing atmosphere of contemplative (Noble) silence and integrates meditation with the wisdom of Buddhist psychology. Through meditation practices and teachings which cultivate calm and compassionate awareness, we will explore different ways to heal and integrate the fragmented body, heart and mind. As we learn to free ourselves from our habitual self-destructive tendencies, which are driven by fear, shame and perfectionism, we will discover the possibility of a more compassionate and joyful relationship to ourselves and with life, which is both healing and transformative. In addition to offering short, individual sessions, Sue will offer sessions of chi kung movement meditation, to enhance the integration of body, heart and mind. There will be time for restorative rest, as well as for silent walks in the beautiful gardens of the BRC. Beginners as well as experienced practitioners are very welcome. See: www.suecooper.co.za
