Detailed List of Retreats

In these retreats, Tomas takes a particular season, as present in nature at the BRC, as its primary subject. Participants will be encouraged to watch and record the Centre's constantly changing conditions of light and shade. The workshop will include night photography and painting with light. Technical issues will only be discussed where these have a direct bearing on taking quality pictures. Participants are welcome to bring an indigenous tree (please check which trees will grow at the BRC) which will be planted (and photographed) on the last day of the retreat. Bring your eye (one is enough), camera, notebook, download cable, memory stick and some blank CD's and, if you have them, a laptop, lenses and a tripod. Items that may come in handy: a small blanket or towel, rain coat, walking shoes, and a plastic cover or umbrella to cover your camera in wet conditions. To avoid overcrowding, only 12 participants may join.
