The course builds upon the Sudarshan Kriya breathing technique offered in the Art of Living Happiness Programme. The practice of silence - consciously withdrawing our energy and attention from outer distractions - has been used in different traditions throughout time as a pathway to physical, mental, and spiritual renewal. By participating in various course processes specifically designed to take us beyond our usually active minds, we experience an extraordinary sense of peace and renewed vitality that we carry home with us and into daily lives.

The prerequisite to attending the Art of Silence retreat is the Art of Living Part 1 The Happiness Course.

VIjaylakshmi Sewnarain is a pharmacist by profession and is a dedicated meditation and yoga teacher with over seventeen years of experience in guiding individuals on their wellness journey. Trained by The Art of Living in various yoga styles and mindfulness practices, she emphasizes the importance of holistic well-being nurturing the body, mind, and spirit. Vijay creates a supportive environment for students of all levels, and by using the Art of Living practices and teachings, helps them cultivate inner peace and resilience. In addition to leading classes, she offers workshops and retreats that explore the deeper aspects of yoga and meditation. She believes in the transformative power of these practices and is passionate about helping others discover their own paths to self-awareness and balance.
