Deposits:

Please call to establish what type of accommodation is available. Provisional bookings are held for 5 days but are secured only upon receipt of a 50% deposit which will be refunded [minus a R.100 administration charge] only if the booking is cancelled a minimum of two weeks before the commencement of a retreat. Deposits cannot be “rolled over” and used for future retreats. Deposits can be sent by post, paid for by credit card or deposited directly into our bank account. Please identify the retreat you are attending with your payment. Wait-listed people can often get a room at the last moment through cancellations.

Surchargers:

In keeping with the Buddhist tradition, our teachers do not receive any fees for their teaching. They are reimbursed for their traveling expenses only. The surcharges cover those expenses, as well as any cost of materials used in the retreat.

Dana (Generosity):

It is an ancient Buddhist tradition not to charge for the Buddha’s teachings [Dharma] - simply because they are considered priceless…. The BRC’s rates therefore only cover direct costs, such as food, electricity and wages. Teachers do not receive any fees. We therefore have to rely on the generosity of retreatants to meet any other costs and to finance further development. Depending on how you have enjoyed your stay at the BRC, you may therefore like to offer some “Teacher’s Dana” and/or “BRC Dana” at the end of your stay.
