In this retreat, we will practise Yoga asanas and Zen meditation in different sessions with the intention of highlighting the similarities and using the differences to enhance both practices. The parallel paths of the eight limbs of yoga and the Eight-Fold path of Buddhism show us that both practices lead to the same end purpose - to know ourselves and to help others. The compassion and teachings of the Buddha and Patanjali, and the physical and mental energy we gain from the asanas help us to wake up and live our lives fully.
We will do sitting and walking meditation as well as an introduction to Zen chanting with sessions of both active and restorative yoga to help us release and go deeper in our practice. All are welcome to join.
