Stories and story-telling are what make us uniquely human. Amongst others, we have stories about health and wellness, nutrition, anxiety and depression. These words are all interwoven into complex stories that inform how we live our lives each day and how we feel embedded in our bodies. Sometimes those stories can entrap us and restrict us from living a full life. What if you don’t like the story you find yourself in? Or if there are alternate stories of health and wellness you need to hear? How have other people’s stories of the world - and specifically the story of depression and anxiety, health and wellness informed your own? This retreat is an invitation to look at our own personal stories as part of a much larger story of health and well-being and an opportunity to seek alternate stories as we explore new possibilities of being well. Also, to seek alternate meaning through engaging with new ideas, with special emphasis on depression and anxiety. Dominique will share new research with you, and offer a practical guide on how to take steps towards wellness.
