wanda hennig smWe all have stories to tell, but many of us don't know where to start. In this workshop we will Stop. Listen. Connect. Write. The focus will be two interconnected, transformative practices: mindfulness (awareness, presence, “listening”) and memoir writing (story). You will get to meet, name and kick-start a relationship with your personal muse; mine the richness of your life for "story"; explore focused journaling practice (self-expression, self-coaching, self-growth, liberation); start a memoir. Wanda Hennig is an award-winning food and travel writer, a long-time journalist, a life coach (Co-active Training Institute, California) with a post-grad psychology degree (UKZN), a memoirist - and a Zen student going back for more than 30 years. She lived and practiced at the San Francisco Zen Centre for three-and-a-half years in the 1990's; and has run her popular writing workshops in California, South Africa (including the BRC) and Europe. She is the author of Cravings: A Zen-inspired memoir about sensual pleasures, freedom from dark places, and living and eating with abandon (Say Yes Press, 2017).
